This hexagram embodies the ideal situation in which all inner and outer conditions are in perfect consonance. Obstacles dissolve of themselves, communications are fluid and projects unfold with remarkable ease. It is a favourable period of growth, of material or spiritual abundance, in which the consultant feels fully in phase with the environment and carried by an exceptional favourable current.
Accompany the movement and anticipate the decline
The strategic counsel is to take full advantage of this luminous phase to sow and build on a large scale, for "one must plant for things to grow". Yet the Accomplished Being must guard against any self-satisfaction or intellectual laziness. Prosperity is not a fixed state, but a dynamic summit that will sooner or later begin a natural decline. This abundance must therefore be managed with simplicity, actively supporting those around you and anticipating more complex periods by consolidating your foundations from now on.
From a structural point of view, this figure presents a paradoxical inversion of the trigrams: Heaven (Qian, vigour) is below, and Earth (Kun, receptivity) above. Since Heaven's natural movement is to rise and Earth's to descend, the two forces move toward each other, producing an interpenetration and a coupling of absolute fecundity. It is the very image of success. However, the examination of the nuclear hexagram reveals The Marrying Maiden (hexagram 54), recalling that this fortune does not depend on your merits alone, but on a temporary arrangement of chance; remain humble, then, so as not to break this fragile balance.
